Title: The Tevatron's Search for a Standard Model Higgs Boson Speaker: Dr. Wade Fisher D0 Collaboration Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Batavia, Illinois Date/Time: Thurs, May 21, 2009, 3:00 PM EST Place: Brookhaven National Laboratory, Physics Bldg. 510, Small Seminar Room Abstract: -------- The Fermilab Tevatron experiments are working hard to further their ability to test the Higgs hypothesis. With increasingly precise measurements of the background processes, improved predictions for Higgs production rates and a rapidly growing data sample, the Tevatron Higgs search is evolving at a very fast pace. This presentation will cover the newest results from the DZero and CDF experiments' Higgs searches, including the newest Higgs mass exclusion of 160 < m_H < 170 GeV/c^2.
