Beam PWC and Hodoscope Parameters
From E852's 1995 run, these are the Beam PWC and Hodoscope parameters.
Beam PWCs are named after their station number (A1 through A6)
followed by a plane number (X1, X2, Y1, Y2).
Beam Hodoscopes are also named after their station number, but
with an "H" instead of an "A", followed by their measured
coordinate, "X" or "Y".
- offset is the X or Y position of the first wire.
- dnorm is the distance along the detector-normal direction to
a reference point (the MPS pivot). It is essentially
the Z coordinate, but along a Z-axis which bends at
the center of the beam dipoles, and starts out slightly
rotated from the MPS frame.
- unv is the unit vector normal to the measuring plane, in
"unbent" coordinates (ie, the Z-direction is constant,
and in the MPS coordinate frame.
- dcos is the detector-angle cosines, and determines the
measuring coordinate of the detector.
- cell is the detector-element spacing.
- ncells is the number of detector elements.
