E881 Mapmanager Files
There are nine map files in E881:
- align_map
- This contains the run-by-run alignment parameters, and is
automatically updated whenever an alignment run is analyzed.
- alignsum_map
- This contains the run-by-run alignment sums, which are
used to compute alignment parameters. This is updated for each run, but
does not affect anything unless used to generate new entries in align_map.
- drift_map
- This contains the plane and shift-register drift parameters
(Vd and T0) for each run. These are updated at the end of each run if
any of them were found to have changed.
- driftsum_map
- This contains the drift sums, which are used to compute
drift parameters in drift_map. This is always updated at the end of a run.
- hists_map
- This contains the histograms, histogram definitions, scatterplots
and scatterplot definitions of each histogram and scatterplot specified in
the file "hists_par" with the "M" (Monitor) option.
"hists_par" is the standard MPS histogram/scatterplot parameter-file.
- hot_map
- This contains the hot-wire parameters
for each run. These are updated at the end of each run if
any of them were found to have changed.
- hotsum_map
- This contains the hot-wire sums, which are used to compute
hot-wire parameters in hot_map. This is always updated at the end of a run.
- runinfo_map
- This is the general run-description database containing,
among other things, each run's "type", which describes the type of data in a run
and which is set from the ASCII file runinfo_par when the MAINDI command
"run update" is issued. It also contains various "run summary" items, typical
of the sort of thing found in an end-of-run output file.
- scalers_map
- This contains all of the scaler and trigger end-run totals,
as well as spill-scalers which are declared with the "Monitor" option in the
scaler definition file scalers_par. The triggers are defined in the file
triggers_par.
