We are writing to announce the Fifth "International Conference on Calorimetry in High Energy Physics". A yearly series of Conferences was first held in 1990 at Fermilab and followed in `91 on Capri , `92 in Corpus Christi, and `93 on Elba. This year the Conference will be held at Brookhaven National Laboratory from September 25 through October 1, 1994.
The scientific program will be aimed at outlining the state-of-the-art in all aspects of calorimetry. Although the emphasis will be on high energy experiments, a number of applications in other fields of physics will also be addressed.
A preliminary program will be distributed to participants before the conference. The meeting will be organized as a series of plenary half-day long sessions, each addressing one or more specific topics of interest. Topics will include calorimeter performance with respect to energy, space, and time measurements along with issues regarding particle identification. Front-end, trigger and DAQ electronics which are relevant to calorimetry will also be discussed, as well as Monte Carlo simulations.
The proceedings of the Conference will be published by World Scientific Publishing Inc. ( Refer to Sample Latex file and PlainTex file for publication of manuscripts )
Participants wishing to make short contributions will be sent information about the WSPC format for contributions.
There will be a social program for participants and accompanying family members.
This conference is by invitation only. Please bring this announcement to the attention of colleagues who may be interested. Suggestions for invitations should be sent to the Conference Secretary.
