physgi01 is now setup so that you can 'xdm' to it. When you log into physgi01, there are two configuration files which customize your session.

.motif-init

Copy the file /usr/lib/X11/xdm/.motif-init into your login or home directory. Edit the file and add all the X11-apps you want started up when you initiate your X Terminal session on physgi01. /usr/lib/X11/xdm/.motif-init is the one executed by default if you do not have it in your login or home directory.

.auxchestrc

.auxchestrc, in your home directory is the file which will customize your toolchest. For more information about the contents of .auxchestrc, refer to the toolchest man pages or contact Pat Meehan at x3776 or meehan@physgi01.
