Status of the g-2 Detector low voltage and temperature
The detector slow control system is used to monitor the voltages in
the detector electronics crates and the temperatures of various elements
of the detector system. In order to achieve this scanning ADCs are used
which measure voltages directly from the crates and on AD590 temperature
sensors.
The requirements for this system are that it monitor the voltages and
temperatures for all detector electronics below are a listing of the
relevent elements
- 2 CAMAC crates
- 12 NIM bins
- 1 6U VME crate
- 5 9U VME crates
- 1 fastbus
- 2 voltage supplies for PSD
The total number of monitoring channels
associated with this baseline are:
- 130 Low voltages
- 24 temperatures
The status of the system as of July 14, 1996 is as follows:
- The custom signal conditioning boards have been made and are being
assembled.
- The scanning ADCs have been purchased.
- The software is in development.
