E949 Range Stack Straw Chambers

The RSSC's are straw tube chambers, operated in limited-streamer mode. The time resolution of 50 ps (after the time-stretcher-circuit) allows a z-determination ~1 cm. These chambers have a factor of ~10 times less mass than the old ones.
