Hi,

I had forgotten about this until Steve reminded me.  Sorry about that.

I looked up the number of p.e./MeV for the collar.  With a muon beam
at Triumf, we measured 29.1 p.e./MeV where MeV is visible energy.
The collar counter was readout with a long lucite light rod just as in
the experiment.  However, this rod was not polished like the ones we
use in the experiment; some bench tests we did at Triumf indicated
that we would gain about (12 +/- 5)% more light after polishing.
