mlu.txt: document on the postscript file mlu.ps 2002-Apr-05(Fri) Takeshi K. Komatsubara (KEK) * This document is based on Bipul Bhuyan's Email to me on 2002-Apr-4. This postscript file illustrates the Level0 Refined Range mask currently used in the E949 data taking: /e787/local/online/fastbus/trig/files/.tt.rr1 ( symbolic linked to v7_prompt.tt.rr1 ). page 1 and 2: the masks for PNN1(upstream RR1_CUT(1) downstream RR1_CUT(2)) page 3 : RR1_CUT(3), used in kp23 trigger. Each page contains 21 histograms, one for each SLAY (stopping layer). For each plot the x-axis is AVG_L0Z and the y-axis is the 'NTGT'. To interpret the plots: accept events when it is black in the histograms. For history of Refined Range mask, see /e787/local/online/fastbus/trig/files/tt_history. For more details on the making of the masks for PNN1, see ~bhuyan/range/masks/masks2001.txt . 2002-Apr-06(Sat) o plot_kp22_020406_pnn1mask.ps the masks for PNN1 on kp22 triggers (real data): before(left) and after(right) imposing the masks. o plot_kp22_020406_kp23mask.ps the mask RR1_CUT(3) on kp22 triggers (real data): before(left) and after(right) imposing the mask. These plots are consistents with the masks illustrated in mlu.ps; the masks should be loaded correctly to the trigger system. o plot_kp22_020406.ps Reduction of kp22 triggers (real data) by the masks. page 1: the masks for PNN1 -- reduction x 1.72 reduction by restricting stlay to 11-18: x 1.41 further reduction by the masks: x 1.12 page 2: the mask RR1_CUT(3) -- reduction x 5.99 reduction by restricting stlay to 12-18: x 1.90 further reduction by the mask: x 3.15 un-shaded distributions: plots from kp22 triggers shaded distributions: plots after imposing the masks in offline.
