Q01-02 Dose calculated from the number of protons delivered on target for the E787 experiment and projected to E949. As can be seen, the epoxy for both Q01 and Q02 exceeded its expected limit alread during the 1998 run of E787. We expect to accumulate about one lifetime of dose during each of the long runs of E949 (2002 and 2003). The optimistic point of view is that even at the end of E949 we will be more than a factor of 5 below the limit for the Kapton wrapping of the coils (polyimide).
