Getting Started with the E891 Computing Environment
This gives new users to E891 the directions for setting up and
using the E891 environment for their personal accounts on the physgi
machines. If you don't have an account on the physgi machines, you
should apply for one.
Setting up your environment
First you will need certain environment variables and path definitons
which are special to E891. To get these, new users should put the
following line in their .login file:
> source /usr1/people/e891/mgr/e891_setup
This line must appear after any path assignments you make in your
.login.

The World Wide Web (WWW) documentation system (which you are
looking at now) is the primary means of online help in E891. To run
the Xwindows graphical interface to WWW call XMosaic, simply type
> setenv DISPLAY {yourXDisplayName}:0.0
> Mosaic &
