How to start a run

• Press start on the main DAQ window
• select and open the output device if you want to write the events out (this is done on the dp0 menu and is described below).
• Setup the hardware:
  1. press hardware
  2. press SSP init and select the appropriate nml file
  3. press trig and select the trigger file
  4. press OK and the hardware setup window will disappear
  5. check on the dui window that the SSP and TRIG init file are what you wanted.
• press begin run to start the run
• enter comment and press write to start, cancel to cancel the run.
• NOTE: the run number is only incremented if you actually write the events out!
• press comment, pause or end run
• make as many runs as you want (or until the online system crashes).
• if you want to close the output device you do this on the dp0 menu window (see below)
