Details

NLAY : Number of layers (=NLAYPR) ALPHA : Lorentz angle in radians (=ANGLDC) STAGGER : Amount by which alternate wires are staggered for resolution of left right ambiguity. VDRIFT : drift velocity (cm/ns)

NSENS(NLAYPR) : number of sense wires per cell in specified layer. NCELL(NLAYPR) : number of cells in specified layer. RINL(NLAYPR) : inner radius of cells (i.e. radius of inner field wires). ROUTL(NLAYPR) : outer radius of cells. ( " )

CELANG(NCELMX,NLAYPR) : Azimuthal angle of sense wires before displacement (i.e., before staggering).

XSS(NSENMX,NCELMX,NLAYPR): X coordinate of specified sense wire at z=0. YSS(NSENMX,NCELMX,NLAYPR): Y coordinate of specified sense wire at z=0.

STEREO(NLAYPR): Stereo angle for specified layer in radians. The "stereo" effect is generated by, in effect, rotating each drift chamber endplate by an angle equal to STEREO. Note then that the inclination of the wires with respect to the z axis depends not only on the value of STEREO, but on the separation distance of the plates as well.

DATDC(NSENMX,NCELMX,NLAYPR): array for drift chamber data. Not used at present.

TANSTR(NLAYPR): tangent of the stereo angle.

WDXDZ(NSENMX,NCELMX,NLAYPR): slopes of the wires dx/dz. (zero for non-stereo) WDYDZ(NSENMX,NCELMX,NLAYPR): slopes of the wires dy/dz.
