There are two main configuration files for using the DD system over the network: (see the examples in the directory $DD_DATA )
The dd_server_configuration_file is a necessary configuration file.
In this file the hosts, top DD directory, DD version and the (optional)
dd_configuration_file are defined. If the hosts have a common
disk mounted, the DD top directory and version will be normally the same.
The file dd_configuration_file can optionally be specified. It contains
a list of DD systems, their keywords (i.e. $DD_NAME),
node and optionally a configuration file
for the DD systems that specifies the number of buffers, number of fifos,
the maximum event size etc etc
